As the subtitle of this book indicates, ትግርኛ ንዛረብ /Let’s Speak Tigrinya is a multidimensional approach to teaching and learning Tigrinya as a foreign language. It is an integrated language course which is designed for first and second year university students. The monologue, dialogue and cultural notes are designed to make students aware of the cultural elements of the Tigrinya speaking population.
On completion of ትግርኛ ንዛረብ, students are expected to know the pronunciation, script, grammatical structure, and function of the Tigrinya language. Students will also be able to read, write, and conduct basic Tigrinya conversation. With the aforementioned, students will
be familiar with traditional and contemporary culture of the Tigrigna-speaking people.
